Known throughout the world for having light, dry, ‘easy-to-ski’ powder, paired beautifully with 2,000 hours of annual sunshine, skiers at Sun Peaks experience the real meaning of ‘bluebird power days’.
Perhaps the only thing better than the consistent and reliable snow conditions is the slopeside village. The village sits cradled at the base of the three skiable mountains and offers high quality and reasonably priced ski-in, ski-out accommodation, which ultimately provides you with the most convenient ski experience anywhere

Snow Quality
The BC Interior is known throughout the world for its light, dry, ‘easy-to-ski’ powder. Be here on a powder day to discover what the ski/ride term ‘blower’ truly means. Why is the snow so good? Thanks to our geographic location in the BC Interior, Sun Peaks is protected from the mild, coastal weather caused by the Coast Mountains.
Prevailing storms come from the Pacific Ocean and rise and cool as they pass over the Coast Mountains before reaching Sun Peaks Resort. Sun Peaks has a reputation for reliable snow conditions that has been proven over 40 years of operations.
So Much to Ski and Ride!
3,678 skiable acres of terrain, 881 meters of vertical, 122 runs, including 12 glade areas makes Sun Peaks the 3rd largest ski resort in Canada and second largest in BC next to Whistler in terms of terrain. Terrain variety including two alpine bowls, cruising green and blue runs, steep and deep, and gladed stashes loaded with powder means there is plenty for all abilities.
Ski and ride outside normal chairlift operation hours during the First Trax Breakfast on Wednesday mornings, or the Fondue Dinner and Evening Descent on Thursday nights. Backed by Rockstar Energy, the Sun Peaks Terrain Park is all about flow. The park will continue to grow this season with new features being will be added including a 50 Foot Flat Box.
Easy to Get Around
Charming ski-through alpine village gives you access to chairlifts, hotels, restaurants, shopping, spas, and a variety of activities. Green, blue, and black runs can be accessed from the top of every chairlift, allowing everyone to choose their favorite run and meet back at the bottom of the chairlift. Most runs lead right into the village.
Virtually all accommodation is ski-in/ski-out, but a complimentary in-resort shuttle is available on weekends and holidays for pedestrians. Cleared of snow and brightly lit, the Valley Trail provides guests a walkway to and from the village core.
